Please join the Houghton/Keweenaw Communities That Care Coalition for the 7th Annual Suicide Prevention Walk! - Families of the 906: Walk the Talk
Our hope is to spread awareness and end the stigma about suicide. It is important for us to acknowledge suicide prevention is a public health issue. The HKCTC Coalition's mission with this event is to help our community understand and observe warning signs of suicidal behavior and prevent suicide before it happens.
We believe everyone should have the necessary and vital access to mental health resources, which is an important factor to suicide prevention.
The Calumet JROTC have graciously sponsored our event to be held at the Calumet Colosseum, from 12:00pm - 3:00pm.
We will be walking from the Calumet Colosseum to Historic 5th street, over to 6th street, and back to the Colosseum.
This event is substance free.
